We were tasked with the project to extend an existing property to accommodate a large, open plan kitchen, dining space and sunroom that could be enjoyed by all the family. The large single storey extension was designed to be contemporary and contrast with the existing property.

Situated to the rear of the property, and overlooking the fields of Carse of Gowrie, the drive from the client was to create a spacious and modern extension. A key requirement was to create a bright space, filled with natural light. This was achieved with the inclusion of large glazed sliding doors and a large roof light within the sunroom. The kitchen and family space is bathed in natural light with an external timber deck at the same floor level extending the sense of inside/outside space. The completed extension sits well with the existing property thanks to the simple design and mix of materials used.
