The project involved the comprehensive renovation and conversion of a dilapidated farm cottage into a contemporary rustic house, blending modern design elements with the charm of traditional architecture. The objective was to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing living space that honours the cottage’s historical roots while incorporating modern amenities. The layout was reconfigured to optimise space, featuring an open plan living area, a modern kitchen with high-end appliances, and updated bathrooms. Natural materials such as reclaimed wood and stone were used to maintain a rustic feel.
