Dundee charity, the Dundee Carers Centre, approached us to create a multi use space for their occupants, while providing a physical presence for the organisation in the City Centre of Dundee. The existing building shell has been completely converted and refurbished. The new interior now accommodates a number of meeting rooms, a reception area and a large open plan multi-use space for meetings and workshops.
As many users of the centre have varying disabilities, it was important to ensure that the entire building was fully DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) compliant, ensuring easy access to all the facilities available. The result is a building that serves as a practical space for the users of the centre and as an administrative hub for charities fundraising efforts.
